Use hanging labels to be sure everything

When thinking about dressing up your bathroom, one trend in bath styling is the move towards more open, airy, lighter spaces. The latest style has moved toward a more natural look. Adding specialty task lighting around bathroom vanities is one way to achieve a sophisticated, layered look, while adding necessary value at the same time. It's always a good idea to get an expert opinion when thinking about a major change, and expert designers recommend looking to create even illumination, while eliminating shadows, in front of your bathroom mirror.
Start With the Fixture Style
vanity_lightingYou need illumination from more than one direction, in order to achieve an even blended light. There are a variety of fixtures that can help get you there. Start by finding a style of fixture that you like the look of. The two main types of bath vanity fixtures are horizontal above-the-mirror light bars, and vertical, beside- the-mirror sconces. Both have certain advantages.

Lighting that hangs above the mirror provides a huge range of options. Bathroom vanity light bars typically have multiple bulbs, each with their own shade, for subtle, diffused light. Here are some ways you can get even more from this type of fixture:
Position each light by turning the shade to cast light in an even pattern. Avoid creating a slanted look, but even a slight adjustment can mean a world of difference.Choose lights with different wattage ratings for more or less illumination. For the most even light, they should all be the same. There are a variety of bulbs in most styles.Choose your bulbs for the color of the light. This is easier to do than ever before. Most bulbs come in a choice of color, from cooler, daylight bulbs to a warmer, more romantic feel.

Light fixtures that hang beside the mirror, sometimes called sconces, provide a good source of task lighting as well. With their wide spread placement, they can help to eliminate side shadows. Here are some ways to maximize side lights.
Choose your sconces based on illumination. Each light is rated for certain bulb wattage.Pick sconces with multiple bulbs for the greatest effect. Just like above mirror fixtures, these can be selected for brilliance and color as well.Get the right shades for your application. Although most fixtures will come with shades, selecting a replacement shade can make a huge difference in the look, as well as how the light is cast.Combine Them with Existing Light
Your existing fixtures will also have an impact on your vanity lighting. Don't forget to select lights that will work best with what you have, if you intend to keep it. Natural light is also an important component, and should be factored into the equation. This is especially true for morning use, when sunlight can provide a lot of illumination in some bathrooms.

Layered lighting schemes help provide even illumination and add interest to your space, by highlighting features, and creating individual task spaces.
Choose vanity light styles and placement to complement areas at your vanity that are currently under-illuminated.Consider replacing fixtures, or changing bulbs for lights outside the vanity area that are casting shadows or causing a glare in the vanity area.Check your light, both at times of day when natural light is available, and when it is not, to get the best idea of anything that needs to be corrected.

antique style table lamps New table lamps from Artemide combine traditional blown glass with LED tech Artemide Australia presents a new range of table lamps crafted using traditional glass-blowing techniques and combined with the latest LED technology. Available in Australia for the first time through Artemide, the new Empatia LED table lamps are truly unique and stunning, and inspired by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello's exploration of glass-blowing traditions and the advanced LED technology used by Artemide. Empatia table lamps showcase the intense design collaboration with master glass blowers, who have succeeded in harnessing the subtleties of Venetian glass to produce a unique balance of density and transparency. Handmade by master craftsmen, each Empatia table lamp is a unique creation. A glass blower is responsible for forming each individual domed diffuser and providing the desired transparency and opacity, to reflect light without glare or losing efficiency. A high-performance LED-based light source lies at the core of the lamp, controlling output to provide maximum yield, while directing light towards the glass diffuser via a transparent pipe. Empatia table lamps are available in three power and size configurations: Empatia 16 (14W, dia 160mm), Empatia 26 (21W, dia 260mm) and Empatia 36 (28W, dia 360mm). Empatia table lamps can be purchased through Artemide's Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney Showrooms or through their QLD, WA and Tasmanian stockists. table lamps frames are made of oak as well as combined wih he exposed bricks hey creae a pleasan plus inviing ambiance http://www.tablelampswalmart.com/kids-table-lamps.html Spreading , his aparmen is more han sufficien for a young family. How to organize a linen closet

Do you find yourself tugging at a towel from a jumbled mound of linens threatening to topple out Is it a struggle to find a matching set of sheets on laundry day Is your linen closet jammed with so many linens you hardly use that you can't find the ones you need If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then it's time to reorganize your linen closet.

From start to finish, we'll walk you through creating an organized linen closet:

Purge

Make finding your linens an easy task by paring your linens down to the essentials. Take inventory of what you've got and toss incomplete or mismatched sets, worn-out or stained linens and anything you no longer use. Consider donating your old bedding and turning towels into cleaning rags.

A good rule of thumb is to have two sets of sheets per bed - one for the bed, one for the laundry. Unless you change towels daily, three sets of bath sheets (towels, hand towels and washcloths) per person in the household and a couple of sets for guests is adequate. As for blankets, one for summer and a couple for winter is ideal. And some may switch from a heavy comforter or duvet in winter to a lightweight quilt for summer.

How to organize a linen closet

Sort

Next, sort the linens into several categories. Divide linens you regularly use by room: bedding for each bedroom and towels for each bathroom. Set aside extra pillows, out-of-season bedding and any bulkier, less frequently used items for separate storage. These are the items you won't be reaching for on a regular basis.

Designate Storage Space

Where you store your everyday linens is largely going to depend on the closet space in your home. If you don't have a central linen closet, then you may opt to store linens right where you use them in each room, which can make them easy to find when you need them.

Those who lack closet space have several storage options. For bedrooms, consider storing linens in an armoire or a storage bench. An étagère, corner cabinet or even an attractive laundry basket provide convenient storage in the bathroom.

As for those out-of-season and bulky items, now is a good time to place them in large zippered storage bags to keep them from getting dusty. Allocate them to a top shelf or under the bed, so they're out of the way of frequently used items.

Orgaanize

Plan to store your everyday linens front and center.dddddddddddd. How you fold and organize them is equally important for convenient putting away and taking out.

Keep pairs of sheets together by tying them with a ribbon

Bedding - There are three easy ways to store your sheets to create one easy package - pick one:

1.) Tuck the folded fitted sheet and pillow cases inside the fold of the top sheet.
2.) Bundle sheet sets together with a pretty ribbon.
3.) Fold the flat and fitted sheets and place them inside the matching pillow case.

Sort sets by bedroom, color or size - labeling shelves is a great idea - and neatly stack them on the shelf with the folded edge facing out.

Fold wash cloths inside of bath towels to keep them together

Towels - If you mix and match towels, keep separate folded stacks of bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. For matched sets, place the folded small towels in the fold of the bath towel to keep it together. And if you have a central linen closet, group each room's towel sets together.

Regardless of how you organize them, it's best to fold towels in thirds lengthwise, then into a rectangle. Place on shelves with the folded sides facing out for a neat appearance. If you're short on space, you can also roll your towels.

Place towels folded side out for a neat look

Keep It Neat

Once you've purged, sorted, and organized, create a system in either your linen closet or a storage armoire that helps you stay organized. Some of our favorite tips include using baskets to group like items with like. This way you can keep items organized by room or bedding size.

Use hanging labels to be sure everything returns to the right place

We also like to use labels, making it easy for guests to find a spare towel or for a helper who just wants to put something back in the correct spot.

Lastly, remember to regularly rotate your linens, so they become equally worn.
